We Found the BEST Campground in Key West!

Camping in Key West with insanely beautiful views while still close to the action packed Duval Street? Boyd’s Campground was the perfect combination of relaxation and fun!

Y’all, Boyd’s is gorgeous. This campground is a cozy little paradise situated on the water with the most peaceful ocean views. We booked a waterfront site and it did not disappoint. We really enjoyed sunsets, sunrises, reading, and relaxing behind our camper overlooking the ocean. Sea it to believe it! Get it 😉

The location is brilliant, because you’re close enough to take a short ride downtown while also far enough away from the action that you can come back to your campground and feel relaxed. You get the best of both worlds here. Fun & Serenity. I personally like when the fun is close by, but I don’t hear it at night. You know?

Ok, ok. I gushed over the views, but let me also tell you about the pool. Since the grounds are not massive, you can take a short walk to the pool no matter where your site it which we all know is a major bonus! The pool was a big highlight for our family. We felt like we were staying at a tropical resort. The kids swam all day like fish while we enjoyed sitting by the pool and doing nothing at all 🙂

The staff at Boyd’s campground is stellar! Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. There are also golf cart rental companies nearby that will drop off and pickup a golf cart for you. This was nice to have as we bounced around the campground & also took it to a few restaurants close by. We drove around on all kinds of wheels around the campground! 😉 (Bonus, it is paved!)

We didn’t actually want to leave the campground, but when you’re in Key West there’s a few things you just must do! First of all, Key West is full of history that is great for homeschool lessons! Hernest Hemingway’s house, Truman Little White House, and The Southernmost Point of the Continental US are just a few of the many homeschool experiences that you need to check out with your kids! For fun, Duval Street is full of shops and restaurants. There are also endless excursions available around Key West such as parasailing and snorkeling. There’s a lot to do around Key West, so definitely don’t make this a short weekend trip!

We had a fantastic stay at Boyd’s Campground & we hope you do too! (Bring a book and read by the ocean & the pool. Seriously. It was so relaxing)

Happy Camping!

Tips:
-Like I said above, definitely book a weeklong stay if you can. There’s so much to do & you don’t want to miss anything.
-Bonus! We saw lots of military aircrafts fly overhead daily. Logan was in heaven!
