The Campground with the BEST Mountain Views in North Carolina!
The best Mountain View’s in North Carolina are without a doubt at Campfire Lodgings!
Campfire Lodgings is a quiet little campground at the very tippy top of a very tall mountain! Your RV will go over quite a few bumps on the way up, but it’s worth the hike! We have never seen Mountain View’s quite like these at any other campground in North Carolina! The views are spectacular and are enough reason to book a trip!
The campground is small and quaint with family friendly hiking trails. You can even rent a yurt on site! The staff was super friendly & delivered firewood right to our site! There’s a stunning viewing area where you can sit and watch the sunset of the mountain tops in the distance. We also had a very friendly neighbor… A cute lil groundhog! We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing at this campground, because it was so quiet and cozy. We loved it! The foggy mornings were epic.
Close by you can hop onto the Blue Ridge Parkway & hike some trails along the parkway. Downtown Asheville and all of its attractions are also a short drive away. And let’s not forget about the Biltmore Estate! Tips:
-It is at the top of the mountain, so it’s a lot cooler at the campground than downtown Asheville! Pack layers.
-You’ll definitely want a camera on this trip. The sunsets over the mountain range is something you’ll want to take with you when you go.
